Okay so what's Stephanie Meyer's problem with Mothers? Both Renee and Esme are like, nonexistent. Is this more of her bad story development or does she have an issue with mothers? Anyone know anything about Stephanie Meyer's Mother?
I can't find a thing about her mother. I googled til I was sick. Plus, there was nothing about her mother's death or separation from her father. Her father is constantly mentioned. And who are the strongest male characters in the book? Carlisle and Charlie. On the other hand, Steph is mormon, and therefore believes in a very male-dominated world. She probably didn't care for a strong female lead. But yeah. I think something's very fishy about how none of the mothers are realistically motehrly. i think she was kind of ripping us and Esme off by making her ability 'motherliness.' That's like making Emmett 'brotherly.' It's redundant. And it doesn't sound like Esme was a particularly noticable human. And I wished she had gone into more detail about her life, and with some EMOTIONS!. She was just like, "Oh, hi, Bella. Edward's like my son, you know. I had a son once. WIth my abusive husband. But the son was cool. Then he died. Oh well :)" Bella: O_O
